Diedra Werner-Liske

Diedra has been practicing yoga for more than 12 years. She finds that engaging the body in conscientious movement and exertion leads to a quieter mind and a more invigorated spirit.
She began her journey connecting mind, body and spirit with a Yoga Qigong class in 1998. From that introduction she deepened her yoga practice with on-going classes at the KaliRay TriYoga studio in Santa Cruz CA. TriYoga blends Vinyasa flow with careful awareness of breath and body alignment. Continuing her yoga education after having two children, she studied and practiced Vinyasa flow, Iyengar alignment, Pranayama, (breath and breath work) and Dayama meditation.
In addition to yoga, Diedra has also studied and practiced Qigong an ancient relative to Tai Chi which uses the breath and controlled movements to move Qi (chi) through the body to promote health and well-being. As a cancer survivor, she has found both yoga and Qigong vital to her health and well-being.
She is currently studying Ashtanga (eight branches) yoga and will complete her teacher certification at Mount Madonna Center in Santa Cruz.
